We moved to Sedona to be closer to nature, to get away from it all…… and for all the AWESOME bike trails! Seriously, this was one of the big draws. Some of us are more advanced in this area than others. If you ever meet Max, just take a look at his shins. It will explain a lot. But don’t worry, there are trails for every skill set.

Here are few of our favorite MTB trails in Sedona.

Need a bike?!? No problem! Check out our favorite bike shops. Rentals and all the cool gear you need:

Hangover MTB Trail

Hangover is one of Sedona’s most famous bike trails, but this is not a trail for beginners, or suggested to be attempted with an actual Hangover. We love this trail. Slick rock to start, up into a red rock saddle that overlooks Oak Creek Canyon, drop down along the edge Mitten Ridge, under the red rock hangovers, for which the trail gets its name, down some super steep slick road, and a fast joyride of a downhill on the way out. I mean, it’s pretty awesome. You should probably check it out.

Mescal MTB Trail

A nice ride with beautiful views. A little bit of everything. One of our favorite parts of this trail is coming out through the arroyo called ‘Canyon of Fools.’ A fast, flowy good time. You’ll come out with a smile.

Baldwin MTB Trail

A quick loop. Beautiful views of backside of Cathedral (or the frontside, depending on who you ask). Some fun features, an all around good time. Baldwin can be accessed easily from the VOC and DIRT by parking at the Turkey Creek Trailhead.

HT/Easy Breezy/ Templeton MTB Trail

Beautiful views wherever you turn. A fun ride down to Oak Creek and back, riding in front of Cathedral most of the way. A little something for everyone on this trail. Make sure to pack a beer and spend some time creekside before you circle back.

Park at the Little Horse Trailhead. A short trip down Little Horse Trail, and Bell Rock Pathway, over the bridge, and take a right on HT Trail. HT to Easy Breezy, to the base of Cathedral Rock and hop on Templeton (you can take a right on Templeton towards Red Rock Crossing and down to the creek, a quick, but step, out and back) or left to circle back around on Templeton, to HT, and back to the parking lot.

Check the trail map at the Little Horse Parking area for clerity. There are many trails that you can access from this point.
